Here’s My Story
One Sunday, I was sitting in church with my children, doing what I had always done, praising, worshiping, following the order of service, and trying my best to be obedient to the God I had been handed. The God I was given was powerful, but he was also distant, conditional, and at times, terrifying.
In the middle of that familiar routine, something in me broke open. It wasn’t anger, and it wasn’t rebellion. It was truth. A knowing rose up in my spirit that said, “This version of God is too small for who I really am.” I realized I could no longer spend my life trying to earn love from a God who already lived inside of me.
That day, I didn’t walk away from God; I walked away from an image of God that kept me in fear, shame, and spiritual exhaustion. I began to seek the God my soul could truly love, the God who was present in my breath, my body, my knowing, my consciousness. The God who was not separate from me, but expressing through me.
Over time, that journey became a path: a path of healing, deprogramming, reprogramming, and remembering. I watched my theology, my identity, my relationships, and even my work transform as I accepted one core truth: God wasn’t outside of me. God was inside of me.
From that revelation, The Anu Practice was born, a spiritual ecosystem for those who are ready to take radical responsibility for their lives, reclaim ownership of their story, retrain their mind, return to presence, and remember who they have always been in God. The Church of Christ Consciousness was born the moment I discovered God was not outside of me, but within me.
Today, I stand as Prophetess Dr. Anu, but more importantly, I stand as a mirror. I am here to remind you of what your soul already knows: you are not broken, you are not behind, and you are not disqualified. You are in process. And your process is holy.
