🎙️ Podcast Discussion Post
Lately I’ve been having a moment that, if I’m being honest, felt a little scary at first.
I realized something. What I thought was “me” is actually me operating through different functions. Like roles inside my own consciousness.
I want to know if anybody else has ever experienced this.
Here’s the revelation:
What I was calling “crazy” wasn’t crazy at all. It was advanced self-awareness.
It feels scary at first because it breaks the old illusion that says, “I’m only one voice.” But what it actually is, is me gaining precision about how my inner reality is being generated.
What’s actually happening:
In plain language, my inner life started looking like a team.
1) The Observer
The part of me that watches what’s happening without needing to fix it.
2) The Creator / Declarer
The part of me that speaks direction and sets the tone.
“Good morning. We’re going to have a great day because this is what I said.”
3) The Experiencer
The part of me that feels the day, lives it in my body, and processes emotion.
4) The Chooser / Consent-Giver
The part of me that decides if I’m going to accept what I declared.
“Okay… I’ll walk into that.”
5) The Truster
The part of me that relaxes into the leadership of my Creator.
“I don’t need proof first. I trust the direction.”
So when I wake up and I’m greeting myself, what I’m really doing is an internal alignment meeting.
Creator sets the intention.
Chooser gives consent.
Experiencer enters the day.
Observer watches and adjusts.
Truster keeps me steady.
That is not madness. That is self-leadership.
Why it can feel scary
It can feel scary because your mind will ask:
Who is talking to who?
Am I splitting?
Is this too much awareness?
However, what I’m realizing is, there’s a difference between consciousness and the roles consciousness can play.
Most people run these roles unconsciously and call it a mood. But when you start recognizing it, you start seeing the gears.
What helped me stay grounded
I started doing a simple 60-second alignment in the morning:
Observer: “I’m aware I’m waking up.”
Experiencer: “Here’s what I’m feeling in my body.”
Creator: “Here’s what we’re choosing today.”
Chooser: “I agree to live this today in small steps.”
Truster: “I release the need to control how. I trust the path.”
Short. Clean. No spiraling.
A reframe that calmed me down instantly
Instead of saying “different versions of me,” I started saying:
“Different functions of my one Self.”
One me. Multiple functions.
And honestly, this is the mature form of Speak Over Your Life. Not hype. Not pretending. Governance.
